B & E

So I know it's been a loooooong time since I posted but I got the urge so here we go!
Last week on the news I saw a Church / School segment, it had to do with a church / school being broken into, which is a terrible thing.
The reason or thought was that around the holidays, that the place had either more money than usual or misc. gifts laying around that had been donated for needy others.
Well at the end of the story, they had a clip of the Pastor / Minister type guy and he said....I don't know why they broke in to steel, if they had just asked, we would have given it to them!

I'm sorry but I must challenge this answer, really would they? If I walk into a church building and say to the Pastor " I need help with money" what do you think as a first timer I would hear?
Now if I walked into a church and said "Hi, if you don't help me with some fundage I'll be back tonight to rob the joint" is that going to change any one's mind?
I doubt it! it might add to a few member spending the night in the building or some added security, but a positive result for me? I don't know.
Don't get me wrong, churches do help people and I have been one to be blessed by my church,
but there are checks and balances for benevolence just as there are for many companies or organizations who help people, I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just the way it is.

gotta agree with you there my friend. A lovely sentiment, but not realistic at all
